Winchester® Xtended Range™ Hi-Density Loads Approved For Waterfowl

The U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service has approved the use of Winchester Ammunition’s Xtended Range™ Hi-Density pellets for use by waterfowl hunters, effective February 27, 2006. Now hunters, who have enjoyed extraordinary success with the Supreme® Elite Xtended Range Turkey loads will be able to use the same proven Hi-Density shot on ducks and geese.

For 2006, Winchester is introducing a new line of waterfowl loads using the Xtended Range Hi-Density pellet. These loads will all fall under the new Supreme Elite™ line and were developed with the serious waterfowl hunter in mind.

Loads in the new line will be available in 20 ga. 3”, 12 ga. 2 ¾”, 12 ga. 3”, and 12 ga. 3 ½”. All loads will be offered with popular waterfowl shot sizes of #4, #2, and #B (12 ga. only). The 12 ga. loads will have a muzzle velocity of 1450 fps and the 20 ga. loads will have a velocity of 1400 fps.

The Xtended Range Hi-Density shot has proven itself in the turkey woods and is sure to be a winner in the marshes and fields where waterfowl are hunted. What sets this shot apart from other high density loads is its consistent round shape and weight (55% higher density than steel). This shot produces dense, hard-hitting patterns shot after shot. Whether hunting ducks over decoys or pass shooting geese, waterfowl hunters will find a superior shotshell load in Winchester’s new Supreme Elite Xtended Range Waterfowl loads.

These new loads will be packed 10 per box and 100 per case.
