Der er masser af eksempler på at vi, i blandt andet visse religioners navn og "gamle traditioner", tillader/ser gennem fingre med at dyr ikke dræbes så hurtigt og effektivt som muligt, på det punkt er "jægerne" bestemt ikke de store syndere!

problemet ligger efter min mening ganske enkelt i at den moderne vestlige verden er rykket så langt væk fra kontakt med naturen at alle mulige besynderlige ideer omkring vores forhold til dyr bliver ophøjet til "moral" og "etik"

Jeg husker ikke hvem forfatteren var, citatet lå på en amerikansk hjemmeside for år tilbage..
