Her er hvad jeg fik fra min Outfitter, ifb. med indrejse i Alaska. Det er muligt at det ikke er helt det samme med hensyn til hunting license, når det er i Wasington, firearms import er den samme:
Instructions for obtaining your Hunting License and Firearms import permit
Prior to entering the U.S./ Alaska with your firearm, you must obtain an Alaska Hunting License and a Firearms Import Permit. The following are the procedures for doing so.
A.: Procedure to obtain an Alaska Hunting License:
1. On the Internet go to: http://www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/license/
2. In the left column click on: Click Here to Apply Now
3. Under Select Residency : change to Nonresident Alien.
4. Enter Your Address Information.
5. Select Sport Fishing and Hunting License.
6. Select Nonresident Alien Hunting License.
7. Start Date, Ignore this and go on to Checkout.
8. Checkout: Pay for license with Credit Card. Cost of this License is $300.00 USD.
Your license will be mailed to you. Keep a copy of the internet purchase.
B.: Procedure to Obtain a U.S. Firearms Import Permit:
1. On the Internet go to: http://www.atf.gov/forms/pdfs/f53303d.pdf
2. Down load 3 copies of this Form (Form 6NIA).
3. You must already have your Alaska Hunting License in order to complete Form 6NIA.
4. Complete and mail 2 copies of this form and a copy of your new hunting license to the following address:
U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
Firearms and Explosives Imports Branch
650 Massachusetts Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20226
5. Complete the third copy of this form and keep it for your own records.
6. Remember, it takes 2 to 3 months to receive this Permit!
C.: Important Things to Remember:
1. It will take up to 3 months to complete this process.
2. You must have your Alaska Hunting License to apply for the Firearms Permit.
3. Be sure to send 2 copies of Form 6NIA when you apply for the Firearms Permit.
4. When you enter the U.S./Alaska you must have both your Alaska Hunting License and your Firearms Import Permit with you! If you do not have both the License and the Permit, you will not be able to bring your firearm into the U.S./Alaska.
