Barnes Bullets
Barnes Varmint Grenade
Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2007, Barnes Bullets introduces the Varmint Grenade, a lead-free varmint bullet, featuring a highly frangible copper/tin composition MPG core. The new flat-base, hollow-cavity bullet remains intact at ultra-high velocities, yet fragments explosively on impact. It’s available in 36-grain .224" and 62-grain .243". It is also offered in Black Hills .223, .22-250 and .243 factory ammunition.
Barnes is now shipping all nine Maximum-Range X-Bullets announced last year. A Delrin tip gives the MRX Bullet a higher ballistic coefficient, resulting in flatter trajectories and greater retained energy. Sold in 20-bullet packs, the Maximum Range X-Bullets are available in .270, 7mm, .30 and .338, in weights ranging from 130-grain to 225-grain.
Barnes continues to expand its line of all-copper Triple-Shock X-Bullets (TSX). Grooves cut into the TSX shank significantly reduce pressures, allowing safe higher velocities. The new TSX bullets are: .308" (.30/30), 150-grain FN; .458" (.45/70), 250-grain FN; and .458" (.45/70), 300-grain FN.
The new Barnes XPB handgun bullets are: .355" (.380 ACP), 80 grain; .355" (.357 SIG), 125-grain; .357" (.357 Mag.), 125-grain; .357" (.38 Spl.), 110-grain; .400" (.40 S&W), 140-grain; .429" (.44 Spl.), 200-grain; and .451" (.45 GAP), 160-grain.
