Det seneste jeg har hört fra mere end et par store svenske våbenhandlere er, at den nye SAKO er et tiltag med särligt sigte på det amerikanske marked, hvor SAKO har haft et godt navn i årevis, men hvor prisen har väret for höj for almindelige jägere. Intentionen er at konkurere med de etablerede amerikanske märker - särligt Remington - og våbnet i denne kamp er dels de nävnte tekniske forbedringer og dels - efter sigende - en mere konkurrencedygtig pris. De svenske forhandlere har fået den besked, at det er det amerikanske marked der prioriteres og at der derfor kan gå fra 1-2 år inden den nye model findes på hylderne i Skandinavien. Mange frygter, at rationaliseringen i låsestörrelserne ikke er det eneste kompromis, så der vil blive rigtig stor interesse om de nye våben på den kommende IWA-messe. På sigt udfases model 75 efter planen fuldständigt.

Den største ændring ser ud til at være omkring magasinet, hvor udløseren er flyttet og man skal trykke på magasinet samtidig med at man trykker på udløseren, det skulle gøre det sværere at tabe magasinet ved et uheld.

The ACTIONS continue to offer traditional SAKO 85 features such as: mechanical ejection; controlled
feed; integral tapered scope mount rail and one-piece forged bolt.
The fixed MAGAZINE with hinged floorplate holds 5 belted Magnum cartridges. Magazine latch is in front
of the trigger guard.
The single-stage TRIGGER pull is adjustable from 1 kg to 2 kg (2 to 4 lbs).
The SAFETY features a mechanism that allows loading and unloading of the rifle with safety engaged.
The classic style, straight, oilfinished STOCK is made of selected quality walnut with an ebony forend tip.

cartridge feed to the chamber on all situations (Pat.pend.). All visible metal parts are highly polished.
The fixed MAGAZINE with hinged, polished floorplate holds 5 cartridges.
The single-stage TRIGGER pull is adjustable from 1 kg to 2 kg (2 to 4 lbs). All models are available with a single-set
trigger as option.
The SAFETY features a mechanism that allows loading and unloading of the rifle with safety engaged.

Det er muligt at jeg har alle de våben jeg behøver, men jeg har ikke alle de våben jeg ønsker.

Jeg kan se at man laver f.eks en sako deluxe i 7x64,men ikke en synth stainless.
Nogen der ved hvorfor og evt et alternativ til en sako 85 synth stainless i 7x64.

UUPS [:I] skulle nok have været under riffelteknik.
