Hornady and Winchester Recall Ammunition

Hornady LEVERevolution

Hornady is recalling one lot of .30-30 Winchester LEVERevolution ammunition shipped from the factory between March 29 and April 7, 2006. Ballisticians at Hornady have determined some cartridges from Lot 3060134 may be under loaded. An under-loaded cartridge could result in a bullet remaining in the barrel after firing, causing an obstruction. Firing a second shot with the barrel obstructed will cause firearm damage and possible injury to the shooter and bystanders.

Shooters should not use Hornady .30-30 Winchester LEVERevolution ammunition from Lot 3060134. The lot number can be found on the underside of the box label. If you own ammunition from this lot or have questions regarding the recall, call Hornady at (800) 338-1242. Hornady will make arrangements for the return and replacement of the ammunition.

Winchester Dynapoint Magnum

Two lots of Winchester .22 WMR Dynapoint Magnum ammunition are subject to a recall issued by Olin Corp. Dynapoint Magnum ammunition from Lots 1WN and 1XA may contain double powder charges. The loads if fired could cause firearm damage, render the firearm inoperable and subject the shooter to a risk of personal injury.

Winchester .22 WMR Dynapoint Magnum ammunition having lot numbers that start with 1WN or 1XA should not be fired. The lot number is imprinted on the outside of the right tuck flap of the 50-round boxes.
