Zeiss introduces the Classic line of riflescopes. The line includes the Diavari 1.1-4x24 T*, 1.5-6x42 T*, 2.5-10x50 T*, 3-12x56 T* and the Diatel 6x42 T*. They feature Zeiss’ AOS thin-lens technology and T* multicoatings.

Also new from Zeiss is the LotuTec water-repellent coating. LotuTec is a super-smooth coating for anti-reflective glass surfaces that repels both water and oil. It is currently available on the Victory T* FL 8x56 and 10x56 binoculars and will be introduced to the full line of Victory binoculars and riflescopes throughout 2007.

Four new reticle patterns are being introduced for the Victory Diavari V, Diarange M and Conquest MC riflescopes. The Rapid-Z reticles are available as the Rapid-Z 600, Rapid-Z 800 and Rapid-Z 1000 for common rifle calibers, and the Rapid-Z Varmint for smaller, long-range shooting.

The Camera-Eyepiece DC4 combines a digital camera with Zeiss’ Diascope spotting scopes. The DC4 is a low-noise, 4MP camera and offers 30x magnification through the Zeiss Diascope 65 FL and 40x magnification with the 85 FL. The DC4 will be a limited edition.

Zeiss introduces its newest version of the Victory Diavari 6-24x72 T* FL riflescope, featuring FL glass and the Rapid-Z Ballistic Reticle System. Flouride Ion glass, featured on the Diascope scope and the Victory FL binoculars, creates a lightweight, durable lens system with color correction. Rapid-Z ballistic reticles allow quick target holdover, available in Rapid-Z Varmint out to 600 yards and Rapid-Z 1000 out to 1,000 yards, and hold points for windage up to 20 mph.

LotuTec water-repellant coating has been added to the lenses of Zeiss’ Victory Diascope spotting scopes, available in 65mm and 85mm. LotuTec repels water and oil, causing it to bead off, without affecting light transmission. If the lenses become drenched, a shake of the scope will remove most water. Oils from eyelashes or salts from sweat, even sunscreen and fingerprints, come off cleanly without smearing. The coating is durable and resists abrasion.

Zeiss introduces the Victory 8x45 and 10x45 T* RF laser rangefinder binoculars – the world’s first premium binocular with rangefinding capability, LED display and integrated BIS™ ballistic calculator. Hunters now have accurate distance to target and corrected ballistic holdover – programmable for 6 different common ballistic trajectories – at their fingertips in the field. In addition, hunters will experience crystal clear images thanks to the high-performance optical design and high-contrast LED display. No more grayish looking images when trying to estimate the condition and size of an animal – a visual disadvantage typically found in rangefinding optics that use the more common, low-contrast LCD displays.

Zeiss engineers and designers have succeeded in integrating a variety of high-tech functions into an elegant and highly durable magnesium housing resulting in a technical masterpiece that is robust, powerful, ergonomic and compact. The re-designed Zeiss optics guarantee maximum resolution, image definition, color fidelity and contrast to meet the needs of the most demanding hunters. The 45mm objective lens diameter provides 15 % higher low-light performance than 42 mm models thus providing enhanced visual performance at critical times such as dawn and dusk.

The Victory RF binoculars are the world’s first binoculars with a hinge bridge that do not require a separate laser emitter. The invisible, eye-safe laser beam used in the Victory RFs is particularly narrow, enabling the precise measurement of small targets even at long distances.

The One-Touch feature – a first for the civilian market – produces less shaking while ranging and therefore a clearer image. When the measurement button is pressed, the reticle used to target the object illuminates. When released, the range is immediately measured and displayed within 1 second. This generates considerably less shake and also saves time in comparison to other rangefinding binoculars on the market that require the user to press the button twice. The buttons for the measurement functions are positioned on the right-hand side of the binoculars so hunters can hold their bow or rifle with their left hand and glass, measure distance to the target and calculate trajectory with the Victory RF in their right hand if necessary.

With their state-of-the-art electronics, the Victory T* RF binoculars have a large measuring range from 10 yds to 1300 yds (depending on the size of the object, reflectivity, angle of impact and weather conditions), and high measuring accuracy of ± 1 yd at ranges up to 660 yds and ± 0.5% at ranges beyond 660 yds. The rangefinder can be set to meters or yards with the LED providing a clear numeric display with automatic brightness control to compensate for brighter or darker light conditions. It can also be operated in a Scan Mode for continuous measurements on small or moving targets.

The BIS™ (Ballistic Information System) calculator, working in unison with the laser rangefinder, provides accurate holdover correction for 6 different common ballistic trajectories based on the most popular hunting cartridges. The BIS™ calculator can also be programmed to work with 100 yard or 200 yard sight-in distances as well as provide measurements of holdover in either centimeters or inches.

The self-illuminating LED display (Light Emitting Diode) is easier to read than the more common LCD displays (Liquid Crystal Display) and also allows significantly more light to pass for observation.

Zeiss’ world-renowned T* multi-coatings applied to the lenses enhance the clarity and resolution by affording truer color and higher contrast. These coatings also offer a higher transmission in the blue range, assuring brighter images and better colors in low light situations. In addition, these binoculars will come with Zeiss’ exclusive, award-winning LotuTec™ water-repellent coating on the eye and objective lenses.

The Zeiss Victory T* RF binoculars feature a durable, waterproof, rubber-armored magnesium housing ensuring years of protection against rugged use. Other mechanical qualities of these binoculars include twist-out 4 position eyecups which easily accommodate eyeglass wearers as well as an easy to use diopter adjustment. Offered in 8x and 10x magnification with generous 45mm objective lenses, these binoculars will complement a wide variety of hunting applications.

Nahhh, så bliver den jo utæt. Den skal da have ballistikken overført via sin Bluetooth forbindelse.

Den får også indbygget GPS logger, så politiet kan aflæse om du har været inde på naboens jagt da du skød [][][]

Den lyder da ellers interessant. Bare den så netto fjerner usikkerhedsfaktorer, og ikke erstatter den ene med en anden.

Hvad sker der f.eks. hvis den ikke kan få en afstand til målet, men istedet registrerer afstanden til den bakke der udgør kuglefanget 300 meter bag bukken, fordi du ikke holdt sigtet nøjagtigt på bukken da du målte ?

Forresten synes jeg sigtekikkerter med indbyggede afstandsmålere er ulideligt grimme for tiden[xx(]. Det må da kunne gøres mere elegant.

This system has become an indispensable companion, whether for hunting abroad or at home. Not only knowledge of the exact distance to game is a decisive factor, but also the resulting holdover (requiring the hunter to aim x centimeters above or below the target) is of major importance.

With the Victory 8 x 26 T* PRF, Carl Zeiss implemented the world’s first digital laser rangefinder with LED display and integrated BISTM ballistic calculator.

The high-performance optics with a two-element Achromat in the 26 mm lens and Carl Zeiss T* coating provides a very bright image: its 8x magnification also makes the Victory 8x26 T* PRF ideal for long distance observation, and the 26 mm lens diameter provides reserves for poor light conditions. The 110 m field of view, measured at a distance of 1000 m, provides users with a full overview in any situation.

The ergonomic design and ease of use of the Victrory PRF also leave nothing to be desired. A slight press of the measuring button displays the range and the required correction value for the point of impact in the field of view.

In recent years, red dot sights have become increasingly popular in local hunting grounds for short shooting distances. This is reason enough for Carl Zeiss to once again take this subject seriously and introduce a new, even lighter and more compact instrument to its line of Z Point models: the Compact Point.

Compact Point: a real solution from Carl Zeiss
Carl Zeiss has added an optimized red dot sight to its successful Z Point, taking ergonomic aspects into account along the way. As expected from the experts in Wetzlar, all key product features of the new concept were scrutinized in order to utilize all of its potential. The result is a product unparalleled in its excellence. With product features such as a robust metal housing, large glass lenses with the LotuTec® coating, manual dimmer control, waterproof design and the ability to change the battery without removing the instrument from the firearm, Carl Zeiss created an entirely new class of high-quality red dot sights. In a manner of speaking, the red dot sight has grown up. The result is an elegant sight with "tidy" surfaces and a sleek appearance. At 55 mm long and 36 mm high, the Compact Point is somewhat larger than some minimalistic competitive products; however, the few extra millimeters house the unique strengths of the device. These include a lens element that is approximately 25% larger than standard products. This supports an ergonomically correct viewing position – particularly in the interaction with the sleek housing. The Compact Point is also waterproof and holds two batteries in a specially sealed compartment which further increases reliability during a hunt.

The fact that the five intensity levels of the precisely dimmable illuminated dot exhibits minimal subtension of 10 cm at 100 m is surely no coincidence with a product from Carl Zeiss. The fact that this type of device now features the LotuTec® coating for the first time, to protect it against moisture and contamination, shows how seriously Carl Zeiss addresses the subject of targeting optics for each specific application.

Three models for a perfect ergonomic design
The more compact the product, the more crucial it is to not waste any room during assembly. Carl Zeiss is the only manufacturer to offer three different assembly versions to mount the Compact Point elegantly and as low as possible for different types of firearms.

The Compact Point Standard delivers an integrated clamp assembly for Picatinny and Weaver rails. This version can therefore be mounted to many rifles, shot guns and hand guns without additional parts.

The Compact Point Zeiss Plate provides a flat floor plate with boreholes primarily for mounting on swivel and rail assemblies. The leading assembly parts manufacturers offer a variety of specific parts for firearms from various manufacturers.

The Compact Point Blaser is an absolute highlight. It can be mounted directly to the R 93 and state-of-the-art Blaser break-action weapons. This model enables an extremely low assembly and also a particularly elegant appearance. Thanks to the MAKnetic concept, a combination of magnetic force and mechanical locking, the Compact Point Blaser can be quickly mounted and removed from the firearm with a single action.

Superb ease of use
Activation/deactivation and the dimmer are controlled via a single function key on the front of the Compact Point. It can be easily operated even with gloves and raises or lowers the intensity of the illuminated dot one increment each time it is pressed. Once the maximum intensity has been reached, the intensity weakens one increment each time the button is pressed. Pressing and holding the button turns the device off. It also shuts off after four hours of continuous operation without being changed. The most recently selected intensity is stored and recalled when the device is turned back on.

The Compact Point comes with a special multi-function key for vertical and horizontal adjustments, which permits precise zeroing of the sight. To ensure maximum recoil resistance, the Compact Point features a locking mechanism for the set zero position.
