New Tipped Triple-Shock
[Image: TippedTSXBox_bullets.jpg]
Since its introduction in 2003, Barnes’ Triple-Shock X-Bullet has earned a reputation as “the perfect hunting bullet.” Now, Barnes has improved on perfection by adding a streamlined polymer tip.

The new Tipped TSX features the same 100-percent copper body with multiple rings cut into the shank. It delivers the same gnat’s eyelash accuracy and “dead right there” performance—but with an added polymer tip that boosts BC and improves long-range ballistics. The tip and a re-engineered nose cavity provide even faster expansion.

Complete penetration, virtually 100 percent weight retention and four razor-sharp cutting petals that doubles bullet diameter means the new Tipped TSX creates more internal damage than any competing bullet. Instant expansion and perfect penetration ensures cleaner, quicker kills.

The Barnes Tipped TSX—accept no imitations.

· 100% lead-free
· Grooved for lower pressures
· Higher ballistic coefficient
· Deadly accuracy
· 99-100% weight retention

New Triple-Shock
[Image: NewProductsTSXCombo.jpg]
Barnes Bullets® continues expanding its popular line of Triple-Shock X-Bullets. An improved version of the original all-copper X-Bullet, the Triple-Shock X-Bullet (TSX) features a series of grooves cut into its shank. The grooves significantly reduce pressures, allowing safe higher velocities. Triple-Shock bullets virtually eliminate copper fouling, while delivering outstanding accuracy and performance.

Containing no lead, the Triple-Shock X-Bullet features 100-percent copper construction. On impact, the specially engineered nose cavity expands into four razor-sharp copper petals that slice through game, producing massive hydraulic shock.

These all-copper bullets are known for deep-driving penetration and double-diameter expansion. In addition to being exceptionally accurate, they retain virtually 100-percent of their original weight after impacting game. Barnes—Unleaded. Unfailing. Unbeatable.™

The new TSX additions for 2008 include:

New Varmint Grenade
[Image: NewProductsVGBoxThumb.jpg]
Barnes Bullets will be adding two new additions to its popular Varmint Grenade bullet lineup. Lead-free, highly frangible Varmint Grenade bullets will be available in a 26-grain .204-inch version for the .204 Ruger cartridge, along with a new 50-grain bullet for firearms with .224-inch-diameter bores.

Based on a design Barnes developed for military applications, the Varmint Grenade is a flat-base, hollow-cavity bullet with a copper-tin composite core. Surrounded by a substantial guilding-metal jacket, the highly frangible core greatly reduces the chance of ricochets. The bullet remains intact at ultra-high velocities, yet fragments explosively on impact with spectacular results. The lead-free bullet virtually vaporizes ground squirrels and prairie dogs, even at extended range.

The explosive properties of this bullet produce instant fragmentation and dramatic one-shot kills. The Varmint Grenade expends its energy early, seldom exiting bobcat- and coyote-sized predators. Valuable pelts remain virtually undamaged. This remarkable new varmint bullet delivers sniper-like accuracy for dependable long-distance kills.

Varmint Grenade bullets are also offered in 36-grain .224-inch and 62-grain .243-inch sizes.
They’re available factory-loaded in .223 and .22-250 Black Hills ammunition.

Reloading Manual #4
[Image: BRM4cover.jpg]
Barnes Reloading Manual Number 4, an all-new reloading manual from Barnes Bullets, will be available in 2008. Full color illustrations appear throughout the manual, which has a distinctive embossed and debossed cover.

More than 200,000 rounds were fired in testing the new loads. Extensive loading data provided in the new manual covers the full range of Barnes Triple-Shock™ X-Bullets® (TSX™) and Maximum-Range X (MRX™) hunting bullets now available. Loading data is also offered for the new Barnes Banded Solids™ for dangerous big game, as well as for the recently introduced Varmint Grenade™—a highly frangible varmint bullet developed from military technology.

The new manual features loading data for many recently introduced cartridges, including Winchester’s Short and Super-Short Magnums, 6.8 SPC, .338 Federal and the .375 Ruger. It also contains data for bigbore dangerous game cartridges like the .470 and .500 Nitro Express, .505 Gibbs and .577 Nitro. Extreme-range accuracy loads for Barnes’ .50 BMG bullets are listed for Very High Power shooters.

New load data is also offered for Barnes’ greatly expanded selection of XPB™ pistol bullets, including those designed for .460 and .500 S&W revolvers. Recommended loads for Barnes’ Expander MZ™, as well as the long-range Spit-Fire MZ™ and TMZ™ muzzleloader bullets appear in a special section.

Customer accounts of Barnes Bullets’ performance in the hunting field are included. As a bonus, noted gun writers like Craig Boddington, Sam Fadala and Brian Pearce share their expertise in feature articles.
